FPGA Verification System

RocketDrive - FPGA Verificaiton and Debug

RocketDrive is a Device Native verification system that works seamlessly with your HDL simulator to provide a dramatic increase in verification accuracy, throughput and debugging productivity.

RocketDrive plugs into a standard disk drive slot in your PC and is available in several configurations, each containing the largest FPGA in its respective device family from Xilinx or Altera.

With RocketDrive you can simulate your design with silicon-level accuracy and identify problems that typically go undetected until system-level debugging in the lab.  In this way you can spot problems early in the design cycle when they are much easier to find and fix.

 RocketDrive Features and Benefits:

Feature Benefit

Provides Device Native verification for advanced FPGAs using the same device family as your design Better than gate-level verification accuracy because the design executes on the actual device, which exposes errors that would otherwise be invisible in a simulation model-based approach.

Accelerates verification throughput by up to an order of magnitude or more depending on design and test bench metrics Faster simulation results that naturally improve with each new generation of FPGA. Simulation models, especially for IP blocks can run very slowly. As designs get larger it is impossible to complete testing tasks in time.

Identifies problems with IP blocks, pin-outs and tool chain anomalies that are missed in software simulation Eliminates wasted time spent diagnosing errors introduced through netlist differences and synthesis and place & route tools by putting FPGA hardware in the simulator to reveal actual silicon behavior.

Integrates seamlessly with your preferred simulator and debugging environment Development schedule protection because by executing the design in silicon while working in the simulation environment, issues become evident early in the design process that would otherwise only be visible much later in the lab.

Requires no changes to your FPGA design source files Rapid bring up time. Unlike first-generation hardware-in-the-loop approaches that require changes to a design and software testbench, RocketDrive offers plug-and-play simplicity to accomodate both design and design flow without modification.
